Points and welcome offers
What is a welcome offer?
A bonus a card pays once, after you spend a set amount in the first few months. For example, 60,000 points after $4,000 of spending in 3 months. It is usually the biggest pile of points a card ever gives you.
How do points pay for a flight?
Most travel cards earn points you can move to airline programs (transfer partners), then book an award seat with miles. The welcome offer often covers most of the fare. You still pay the taxes and fees in cash; we show an estimate for each trip.
What is a runway?
One card that could get you to your trip, with what its welcome offer pays toward the fare and what you would still pay in cash. Each search shows three runways, one per annual fee level: no fee, mid fee and premium.
Why do some numbers say "about"?
Point values, fares and the date a bonus posts all move. Cash prices are typical fares for your route and month, point values follow published monthly valuations, and banks post a bonus weeks after you hit the spend. We round and say about rather than pretend to be exact.
Free, Pro and pricing
What is free?
Pricing a trip, the no-annual-fee runway on every search, saving trips to your Dashboard, adding the cards you hold with their points, and ticking card credits by hand.
What does Pro add?
All three runways, bank linking so your real spending counts, welcome offer progress and points that update themselves, card credits ticked from your bank, email reminders before deadlines, Bound, the AI assistant (up to 150 messages a month) and award seat and transfer links for every airline. See Pricing.
How much is Pro?
$12.99 a month, $99 a year, or $399 once for Lifetime while the 50 founding seats last. Prices are in US dollars, plus tax where it applies.
How do I cancel?
Open Manage billing in your account menu. Monthly and yearly plans keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for; partial periods are not refunded unless the law requires it.
What is the Lifetime refund rule?
One-time payment. Full refund within 14 days. If your planning call has taken place, we keep $125 for it. After 14 days, all sales are final.
What is the planning call?
A 1-hour one on one with Moawia (@worldtravelwithmiles) to plan your cards and trip together. It is $125, with free cancellation up to 2 days before. Lifetime includes one call.
Bank linking and privacy
Is linking my bank safe?
Linking runs through Plaid. You sign in to your bank in Plaid's window; we never see or store your bank login. We ask for transactions only, which is read-only: nothing on Bonus Bound can move money. More on the Security page.
Do I have to link a bank?
No. You can type your points and spending by hand. Linking just keeps welcome offer progress, points and credits up to date without typing.
What do you keep, and how do I remove it?
Six months of transactions for the accounts you choose; older ones are deleted every night. Unlink an account and its transactions are deleted the same minute. Delete your account and we delete your data. See the Privacy Policy.
Will you email me?
Only Pro reminders: welcome offer deadlines, credits about to reset, and trips that are ready to book. At most one email a day, only when something is due. Turn each kind off with the bell next to its heading on your Dashboard, or from any email.
Accuracy and advice
Where does the card data come from?
We read each card's offer, fee and credits from the issuer's own page every night, and alert ourselves when something changes or cannot be read. Offers can still change, and some are targeted to you, so confirm the offer on the issuer's site before you apply.
Is this financial advice?
No. Bonus Bound and Bound, the AI assistant, give general guidance to help you plan. Nothing here is financial, legal or tax advice, and Bound can be wrong.
Do you apply for cards for me?
No. You apply directly with the card issuer. We show the card and the plan; the decision and the application are yours.
